After several years of being a young outsider artist, Joe Fenwick-Wilson (b. 1993, Rugby, Warwickshire) went to study the arts at the prestigious Falmouth University. He has lived in many different places across England and is now based in Margate. His drawings, sculptures and paintings are creations from his day dreams and the mundanity of memories, happenings and objects from the past and present. Through intuitive mark making and repetition he mines treasurers from his subconscious in the hope of unveiling what's hiding in plain sight. Joe's work celebrates the uniqueness and strangeness of the normal. He attempts to provide an entrance to his work by sharing segments of nostalgia and undercurrents of the present moment.
