Opening for London Craft Week, we are pleased to present Primavera, an exhibition at Sophie Breitmeyer's new shop on Elizabeth Street showing the works of eight artists.

The title, taken from the Italian and Spanish word for spring, draws inspiration from Botticelli’s Primavera, a painting associated with themes of transformation, fertility, abundance and the arrival of spring. The works reflect each artist’s response to Primavera, a meditation on colour, material and renewal, expressed through thoughtful making and close attention to form, texture and detail. Moving between delicacy and structure, the organic and the composed, they explore tactility as a language of transformation, where seasonal change is felt as much as seen.
