Shipping Policy

Each piece of art is sent by our artists using a tracked and signed for service and shipping rates are calculated based on the size and weight of the artwork and the delivery address. We do not accept responsibility for items that are delayed, lost or damaged during shipping. This is the responsibility of the shipping agent and must be disputed directly with them if this occurs. Orders will be processed and delivered between 7 and 14 business days, unless otherwise specified.
TRACKING:
A tracking number will be sent to you as soon as your package has been sent out. On arrival, it will need a signature to confirm safe delivery.
PACKAGING:
All framed and unframed artworks, prints, photographs, textiles, ceramics and other artworks are packaged in protective wrapping. All artworks will come with a Certificate Of Authenticity which authenticates your artwork for future resale and valuation.
TAX:
Customers outside of the UK, both in Europe and worldwide, might have to pay taxes, import duties and/or handling fees upon entry of the artwork into your own country. Some of our artists are based in Europe and so customers in the UK who have purchased a product from one of these artists might also have to pay taxes, import duties and/or handling fees.
The import duty can range from 0% to 25% of the item’s value. VAT is added to the total, at the prevailing UK rate, which for most items is 20%. The couriers also add their admin charge. All of these are additional costs. Wondering People does not accept liability for the correct importation of artworks bought on the platform - it is the responsibility of the buyer to ensure that artworks are imported legally into their own country and that the correct duties are paid.
ADDITIONAL SHIPPING CHARGES:
Occasionally our calculated shipping charges might be incorrect and come to an amount that is either higher or lower than the actual shipping cost. This can happen if, for example, you have bought a large painting on our website and your shipping address is in the US. Once the artwork has been shipped, we will either reimburse the extra shipping charge or send you an invoice, separate to the website, with the additional payment.
RETURNS:
If there is a problem with your purchase, please contact us (see below) within 7 days of the arrival of the artwork and we will do our best to resolve the matter. We do not accept returns, unless the artwork has arrived damaged, however we can offer a store credit/ exchange. The artwork will need to be returned, using a tracked and signed for service, within the next 7 days of contacting us regarding the return, and we will notify you of the delivery address. It is your responsibility to ensure that it is safely packaged and to pay the postage cost. If the artwork arrives back to us damaged no store credit will be given.
