Thom Corbishley
Thom Corbishley (b. 1995, Cambridgeshire, England) is a photographer and writer based in London. A keen photographer since his early teens, his work focusses on the relationship between place and memory, particularly centring on his native East Anglia.
Thom’s work has been recognised by awards such as the British Journal of Photography’s Portrait of Britain Award and the prestigious D&AD Pencil Awards. In 2020, Thom became the youngest photographer to be included in Facing Britain, a major, internationally touring exhibition showcasing British social documentary photography from the 1960s until the present day. The project was included in the book of the same name, published by the Institute für Kunstdokumentation the following year.
Alongside his fine art practice, Thom also frequently undertakes commercial projects. He is also the lead in-house photographer and editorial assistant at SWIM Magazine. Thom holds a BA (Hons) in History and Politics from the University of York and an MA in Photography from the London College of Communication, University of the Arts London.
