Cole Flynn Quirke
BIOGRAPHY
Cole Flynn Quirke (b.1995, Brighton, England) is a London-based photographer whose work flirts with the tension between solitude and connection. Through an introspective lens, he explores how the vastness of the world can hold both distance and intimacy, and how certain encounters can become moments of reflection.
Mostly Cole’s work focuses on diaristic personal storytelling. A graduate of the Royal College of Art in Photography, he now shares his expertise as a lecturer at London College of Fashion (LCF)
Cole has published two photo books with Jane & Jeremy: Even a Maniac Can Learn to Drive(now sold out), and House of the Stray Dog, a project focusing on the evidence of life while exploring motifs of presence, memory, and the solitude of adulthood.
All of Cole’s work is hand printed in a darkroom in his hometown of Brighton, a space that has served as the foundation of his photographic practice for nearly a decade.
