BIOGRAPHY

Morevi is the collaborative practice of Ana Naskidashvili (b. 1999, Georgia) and Fre Poisquet (b. 1994, Belgium). Working primarily with textiles, their practice unfolds at the intersection of contemporary visual art and cultural memory, grounded in the reinterpretation of traditional craft.
Their work centers on natural materials, slow manual processes, and a close relationship between maker, material, and landscape. Through repetitive and meditative gestures, their process allows form to emerge from a dialogue between human intention and the internal logic of material transformation.
Using techniques such as hand felting and natural indigo dyeing, Morevi approaches craft not as preservation but as transformation. Traditional knowledge becomes a starting point for experimentation, resulting in abstract compositions where structure and unpredictability coexist. Their work reflects an ongoing exploration of materiality, time, and the shifting meaning of heritage in a contemporary context.
