DESCRIPTION
"Inspired often in Japanese crafts, paper is a material that translates into many ideas and items. This is why when trying finishes out for my 'mush' lamps this effect similar to hand-pressed Washi paper took the lead in being my favourite one. The matte tone and the texture rich surfaces gave the piece a subtle beauty that complemented the design beautifully. A second finish I call 'bone' recall ivory or dry bone. Beige resin with a patina of a darker tone highlighted some of the fibres and gave it depth and variations. Other colours of resins and different grain of fibres, from glass to cotton, could be tested out upon request to make the design of the 'mush' lamps stand out and look its best within your space and designs."
