Collage Chair

MEDIUM
Tulipwood, birch plywood, oak
DESCRIPTION
Original
The Collage Chair draws inspiration from Picasso's Violin (Fall 1912, Paris), translating cubist artistry into functional furniture. Hand-crafted in Kent from locally-felled cherry wood, this piece is finished with ebonised detailing that captures the bold aesthetic of cubism.
The chair is made using traditional hand tools, with deliberate areas left unplanned and in sanded. This approach allows the wood grain and tool marks to show through the ebony finish, celebrating the maker's process and the material's natural character.
